Developing a strategy for EDRM
This interactive one day course provides a comprehensive overview of Electronic Document and Records Management EDRM. It will identify and explore the key aspects of a sustainable strategy, covering people and process considerations as well as exploring technology options.
It is suitable for all public sector organisations, whether embarking on, already implementing or reviewing their EDRM programme.

- The attributes of EDRM and workflow and its potential uses
- Building up the business case and assessing the return on investment
- Determining the scope of EDRM implementation and its specification, including corporate versus departmental considerations, as well as adherence to standards
- Assessing the market place - types of product and segmentation including the position of SharePoint
- Hints and tips for the procurement process, particularly on supplier evaluation
- Planning and readiness, file plan development, integrating EDRM into the organisation and service processes

Tutor
Consultant Reynold Leming has extensive experience of public sector Electronic Document and Records Management projects coupled with wide knowledge of the EDRM market. He developed supporting Records Management policies, procedures and processes for both physical and electronic records.
Reynold has worked with a wide variety of EDRM solutions vendors and is a member of the Records Management Society of Great Britain. He also sits on the Bath NES Council Local Strategic Partnership and chairs their Sustainable Growth Alliance, giving him a broad insight to local public service delivery.
Post-Event Activities
Issues raised and learning points will be summarised, made anonymous and made available via an on-line forum after the event. The forum will also support ongoing discussions and shared learning.
