Implementing the EU Services Directive
Implementing the EU Services Directive
Updated course to enable Authorities to meet the EU Services Directive requirements.
The EU Services Directive went live on 28 December 2009. Compliance with this Directive in the UK is mandatory under the Provision of Services Regulations 2009.
Many authorities are now either compliant or have nearly completed the necessary steps in order to fulfil their legal obligations under the Regulations. However, for those authorities that still need some help in understanding what needs to be done. SOCITM, on behalf of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is running four additional training courses in London ad Birmingham
These courses are being subsidised by BIS and will provide a general overview of the aims and objectives of the Directive as well as explain some of the key actions that authorities need to complete.
They are suitable for any authority with legal responsibility for the enforcement of regulations (under the EU Services Directive), either at a local or national level.
