To an increasing extent public sector organisations are focussing more on being a commissioner and manager of services, and less on the direct provision of all services. Encouraged by the Glover report on improving public procurement, there is also a growing shift towards output-based commissioning and procurement as a means of driving innovation.

This course is an overview of Information Assurance designed to to help you navigate and interpret the many different reporting regimes that have been brought to bear on the public sector as a result of a disappointing roll call of data breaches during the past couple of years.

Local Government has already been busy achieving Code of Connection CoCo Compliance and it is important to re-harness these and other related efforts. This course will seek to help you to tackle the barriers to achieving best practice, providing strategies for putting the various pieces together.
